What are the membership fees?
There are 3 options.
1.) $20.00 every month
2.) $120.00 for 6 months PLUS you choose 4 non-designer items for FREE OR 2 designer items for FREE
3.) $180.00 for 12 months (giving you 3 months for free)
Additional fees IF you are sending me your clothes to list for you.
Under 5 items $6.00
11-20 items $25.00
21-40 items $38.00
41+ items Contact us
How much is shipping?
Shipping is FREE to receive the item(s).
When you are instructed by us to mail out your item(s) to another person, YOU have to pay to ship it to them with a delivery confirmation.
Do you take any other payments besides Paypal?
Sorry, not at this time. In the future we plan on accepting other forms.
What if I never receive the item(s)?
Report to us immediately. If no delivery confirmation is provided, their membership will be terminated. You will be able to choose another item.
Can I trade an item that I’ve traded before?
Yes, as long as it’s still in great condition.
What if I don’t get an item that is in great condition?
Contact us ASAP with the issue. The day you receive it in the mail would be the best time to let us know because if you contact us days after you receive it, it’s hard to determine who is at fault.
Is there a maximum number of items I can list?
No, you can list as many things as you’d like.
What if I don’t have an item to list?
You still have to pay the monthly fee and then pay per item.
Each non-designer is $6.00.
Each designer starts at $12.00 and goes UP (each designer item has a different value so you need to contact us with the item number).
If I send CLOSETCANDY my items and I see items I want on the site, how can I get them before someone else chooses them?
We will put them on hold for you until we receive the items you send us. You need to e-mail us the item number(s) so we know which item(s) to hold.
Again, always send them with a confirmation or tracking number for proof of shipping.
What if I haven’t made a monthly payment?
We will send you an e-mail reminding you that payment is due. We will expect you to respond within a couple of days and you won’t be able to trade until payment is made.
What if I can’t take my own pictures?
If you don’t have time to take pictures or for any other reason can’t take pictures, please just send closetcandy your items and we will post them for you. As it would be time consuming for you, it’s also time consuming for us. Once we receive the items is when you will be notified that you can then get items. **Check the additional fees options for sending us your items**
Is my personal information safe?
Yes, absolutely. Your e-mail address is just between closetcandy and you. Your shipping address (NOT e-mail address) will be sent to the trader for shipping purposes only. It only goes to the trader that has the items you want sent to you. Your phone number and e-mail address only stays between closetcandy you.
If you choose to have your website listed in our New Designer Links section, whatever personal info you have on your website will be viewed by the public.
Can I trade lingerie or bathing suits?
Yes, ONLY if they still have the original price tags. They must be new, NOT used. (Slips, are the only exception, but must be in new condition).
What is I only have a non-designer item and I want a designer item?
You have 2 options.
1. Send me 5 items (non-designer) and you can receive 1 designer OR
2. Pay a fee which can range from $12.00 and up depending on the designer item you want. You have to contact us with the item number to find out.
How does the kids trading work? You can trade a boy’s item for a girl’s item or mix it however you want. If it’s a DESIGNER item, then you trade 1 designer for 1 designer. (If you want to trade non-designer for designer, you can: 1. Send me 5 items (non-designer) and receive the 1 designer OR 2. Pay a fee which can range from $7.00 and up depending on the designer item you want. You have to contact us with the item number to find out). You trade 1 for 1 no matter which book you want! By having a friend(s) or family member(s) become a member of closetcandy OR by being chosen randomly by closetcandy. When e-mailing us to become a member, the new person must state that you sent them with your full name or you won’t get a month credit. Give it time. Clothes come on and off the site all of the time. Check in every few days for new items. There will always be something new listed. Your trade credit(s) is good and does not expire. There is no time limit to trade. E-mail us and state that you want your website listed on the New Designer Links page. You must be a member of closetcandy to have your website listed. This is a great way to advertise your site, especially if you are a new clothing designer trying to get noticed. ***If you have a website other than fashion and want it listed, it would just be listed under the main Links page***
